really not safe. for many months breathe california , as an institution working to create this ordinance that would require that a no smoking sign be posted on all street events, that several announcements be made to indicate that events are smoke free and that all promotional materials and advertising materials in events include information that the event is smoke free and in case of a violation, the director of transportation and iscad, which is kind of our coordinating agency in the city, will consider any prior violations of this ordinance on all permit applications for outdoor events requiring their review and approval. this proposed ordinance is endorsed by quite a few community organizations including the san francisco asthma task force, the tobacco free coalition, the african american tobacco control leadership council, philipino american leadership council, freedom from tobacco, girls afterschool academy and sunset russian tobacco education project and many more. i also will be introducing a couple minor amendments that i will mention kind of towards the end, but i wanted to say

place around the state, in the city, in the bay area, and along the coast of california, and it allows local organizations and agencies to leverage their local funds, and make those funds go even further through the application of state bond dollars. the conservancy had a great interest for a long time in improving wildlife habitat and public access to the san francisco bay here in southeast san francisco. we partnered with the bay trail, the port of san francisco, literacy for environmental justice, and many other organizations and agencies to develop the heron's head park, to build the heron's head eco center, and now to plan and construct the bike path and this really grand entrance to heron's head. it's completed a really critical gap in the san francisco bay trail which is a regional trail that circles the entire san francisco bay. it's about 300 miles of it are done of a planned 500-mile loop. for this project really fits perfectly with our vision to improve access to the san francisco bay and to the california coast, to restore wetland throughout the state and complete th

in california. i talked a little bit about this at our joint meeting, but that report was issued, i'm sure that i see lieutenant jean is here, i know the department is looking at some human trafficking efforts and some collaborative work and there's a number of recommendations in there. just for the commission i think there will be some interesting things for us to look at recommendation-wise. the third thing has to do with the tragedy in connecticut. my day job is we're building a center in bayview to address the impact of adverse childhood experience and exposure to violence and trauma on children. obviously this type of trauma is in a league of its own. but one of the experts we work with is dr. victor care 81 from stanford and he shared with me and i shared with my daughter's school so i want to share with everyone, a lot of us are hearing recommendations on the today show but we benefit from the bayview area with having access to these experts. i want to share these recommendations on children exposed to violence. the first is that we should reduce exposure, children need pr
